how green is green?

Kermit the frog famously said “It’s not easy being green” but I don’t agree with him.  Our belief and mission is that it should be easy to be green.

As a company we are doing all we can to reduce our impact on the environment.

Here are some of the things that we are doing to secure a more sustainable future.  If you want to see everything that we are doing, see our full green policy.

1. All of our employees have been given thorough environmental awareness training.
2. Each of our employees have been given a Toyota Prius hybrid car to ensure that we help keep their emissions as low as possible.
3. We recycle 99% of our recyclable waste.
4. We only use paper which is 100% recycled. 
5. We offset 100% of our emissions that we are unable to reduce including commuting and business travel.  Our carbon footprint has been independently calculated by the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Management.
6. We donate 5% of our profits to charitable causes.
7. All of our office furniture, supplies and equipment are bought with environmental considerations front of mind.
8. We use timers to make sure non-essential computer equipment is fully switched off at night.  PC’s automatically go into low power mode when not in use.
9. We encourage our employees to get involved in local community projects.  In fact we actually give them up to 3 days a year fully paid to take time off work and do this.
10. For any new suppliers we check their green credentials making sure they fit with us.

We are not perfect. But we hope to make a difference.

Our green journey has only just begun and as the business grows, so will our action.  We have some big aspirations but we need your support to achieve these.
