How to change your policy
To make a change to your policy, please use our online forms in our existing customer area. Once we receive your request one of our consultants will get back to you within one working day.
Changes to your policy may affect your policy premium and/or terms. To ensure your cover is not affected, please tell us about any changes as soon as possible. Examples of changes that you must tell us about are:
- Change of car
- Adding an additional driver to your policy
- Modifications to your vehicle
- Change of address, etc.
These are examples only. You must tell us about all material changes, for example, a change that may affect your premium or our decision whether to insure you or not. If in doubt, please contact us and we will be happy to help you. Otherwise your insurance may be invalid and won’t pay out in the event of a claim – a situation we would all rather avoid.
We charge an administration fee of between £10 and £30 for making changes to your policy. This is in addition to any change to your insurance premium.
Depending upon the change you are making, there are some circumstances where we may not be able to continue cover. If this is the case, your car insurance policy would need to be cancelled but we would not charge you a cancellation fee.
How to cancel your policy
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your car insurance policy please call us on 0845 272 7603 where one of our insurance consultants will be happy to help you. We will only cancel the policy under your personal instruction.
If you (or we) cancel your car insurance policy within 14 days of the start date of the policy or within 14 days of receiving your documents, a £25 fee will be charged to cover our processing costs. If you (or we) cancel your car insurance policy after the 14 day period, we will keep £50 or our commission, whichever is greater.
You can send your request in writing (please specify the date you wish the policy to be cancelled from, and be aware that cancellation charges are still applicable) enclosing your certificate of insurance to:
