Answers:

I have not received an email with my username and password

Receipt of this email can take up to 24 hours from contacting Kwik Fit Insurance so please allow this time for delivery.

This will have been sent to the email address you provided. Please check this account and consider checking your junk email and deleted items folder.

If you cannot find the email, could it be that you have previously changed the email address on our system records? Maybe you changed from your home to a work or friends account. Please consider if this applies because such a change will have become the default email address to which we will have directed all further emails - including this email containing your username. If this is applicable, please check the other potential email accounts.

If you have still not received the email after 24 hours it could be that our attempted delivery has been unsuccessful because the email address, that we hold for you, is not recognised. This will prevent delivery of all emails including that containing your password and link to your online policy documents. In such cases, we will automatically send your documents via post and will be delivered within 7 working days.

I have my username and password but how do I login to access my documents

The email confirming your password will have contained a link to enable access to your policy documents. For security purposes this link is unique for each customer and set of policy documents. For this reason, access to your online policy documents can only be achieved through this link.

To access your documents click the link contained within the email that confirmed your password. A login menu should now be shown.

Enter your username and password at the prompts then click the Login button.

Can I tax my car with the copy of the certificate?

The copy of the certificate should be adequate, as long as you have a good quality printer. Do you know that you can also tax your car without going to the Post Office? If you telephone the number on your SORN or go online, you can arrange your tax in a couple of minutes because the DVLA database will recognise if your car has a valid MOT and insurance. (Unless you have just insured the vehicle and need to tax it immediately, as there will be a short period of time while the DVLA's database is updated).

How many days in advance must I tax my car online or over the phone?

Check the DVLA website for advice. A link to the DVLA website will also appear once you have accessed your documents.
